ABCD is a square dartboard. P, Q, R and S are the midpoints of AB, BC, CD and DA respectively. W, X, Y and Z are midpoints of PQ, QR, RS and SP respectively.

The score for a dart landing on each region of the dartboard is shown below.

(i) A dart is thrown once. What is the probability of scoring 3 points?                                    

(ii) Two darts are thrown one after another. What is the probability of scoring 3 points?

Answer : (i) 1/4 , (ii) 9/32
