Physics Tuition Singapore Secondary Science Tuition – Electricity Potential Difference
POTENTIAL DIFFERENCE
- Energy is needed to push the electric charges to move from one point to another in an electric circuit.
- Without energy, electric charges will not move. Therefore, there is no electricity in the circuit.
- The amount of energy needed to drive an electric charge across two points is called the potential difference.
- The definition of potential difference across two points: It is the energy needed to move a unit charge to flow between two points of a circuit.
