ORGANISATION OF DATA

1. Statistics is the branch of mathematics that deals with the collection, classification,

representation, analysis and interpretation of data.

2. There are a few ways to collect data.

• Taking measurements in experiments
• Observing outcomes of events
• Conducting surveys
• Reading statistical publications

3. The data collected in experiments, observance or through surveys is called raw data.

4. After raw data is collected, we can organise the data into a frequency table.
